Hi Bill, sometimes you wonder if these doctors are on something themselves.

The most disappointing thing about experiences like yours is that many endo’s do not seem to have the interest, gumption, initiative...... to find answers to glaring clinical signs.  For the first 4 years my son was below the 50th% in weight and above or below the 90th% in height.   He was then increased to 20mg hc which he stayed on until 4 months ago. By 6 years his weight was in the 90th% and over the next 6 years his height steadily went down to the 45th% at his last appointment.  The endo we saw last was new to us and she took the time and listened to my concerns and I showed her the pattern of the last 6 years re growth and height from my review of his notes I had acquired.(She was worried about his height before I showed her my graphs)  She agreed that he had been overmedicated in her opinion and the drop in height and increase in weight justified a reduction in his hc dose and she dropped him to 15mg from 20mg.  To be honest, I thought that 25% drop was a bit much and we would notice a difference in his energy levelsetc but we have not seen any changes in his day to day routine and more importantly he says he feels no different on the lower dose.

If our endo was worried about him going below the 50th% your endo should be $**&^%£ about your son being on the 5th% added to the fact that genetically he should be doing better.

Can you give us his dosage levels of hc, his height and weight and we can check to see if his levels are in the appropriate ranges.

Do you have his height and weight measurements plotted on graphs from when he was born.  I only got hold of my sons 18 months ago and they can be very relieving.. TC
