We were not with her in recovery, but Kristin was in there for probably 1 -1/2 hrs - maybe a little longer.  They had told us 1 hr tops and she would be ready to see us. The recovery staff told us when we went in that it took longer and she was hard to wake up. I hope that they were checking her BP often and keeping a close watch on her.  I know that I went into detail with the surgeon about CAH, had the endo call him and explain - and then she gave the orders for the meds - I gave the admissions staff info on CAH, the pre-op nurses and doctor who came in for a check before she went in. etc.  We go back to the orthopedic surgeon on the 20th and I will find out from him what I can about her meds and how they were administered.  It is scarey that you can give them all the info, but when it comes to it and they leave your care and go into that operating room that you are helpless and dependent on other people to do what is needed.
