Hi, I hope that everything is OK. Even though I have simple virilizing CAH, I was born with the extreme virlization that you know about. I thought you might like to know that I started my menstrual cycle when I was 12. It’s been regular ever since , it’s always been a light to medium flow except for lately. It’s still regular but also for a couple days extremely heavy.

I remember growing up, it was extremely regular, nice and neat. Always had the typical range of emotions during that time any where from lashing- out hostile  (which was seldom) to mostly extra happy. I never was able to use tampons because the area wasn’t big enough for that but I never had any problem passing menses. Eventually, I had surgery at 21 to open the vaginal canal more but I still don’t use tampons, I don’t like the idea.

I want to bring up something else that goes with this stuff. It wasn’t that I develop that early but it was still early than most when it comes to the subject of pubic hair. I can remember being in 9th grade gym class and one girl said,"Geeeez, you got a lot of hair down there !" I don’t know what her intent was but I just looked at her and said," Yes.....and why on earth are you looking down there?" the rest of the girls laughed and no one bothered me again.
