excess hair

For awhile, I did shave my face but it did a number on my self esteem but now I use Nair or Bleaching and sometimes tweezing.  Like Susan A., I shave my leg hair above the knee.

I can remember my sister (I’m adopted) admonishing me for shaving the hair on the top part of my legs. We were all going somewhere in their car and her husband was driving. For some reason she looked at me and replied in most snotty voice," You’re not suppose to shave the hairs above your knee." I was so mortified, I didn’t know what to say. Her husband shot back," Well, my sisters ....they shaved above their knees also." I like her husband a lot.  His sisters had the same type of hair that I did, unlike my blond fair- haired sister.

It’s very frustrating to tell Endos about all the excessive hair and have them tell you your blood tests are TERRIFIC ! This has happened to me my whole life. They tell you it’s not so bad, I don’t see anything! or it’s genetic and they say that one with a smile.

You realize with a sinking feeling thatEndos aren’t that much help to you, after all you are just something they can study and you go back to getting teased like crazy in middle and high school. At one point it became dangerous. The kids in my high school would throw snowballs with smalls rocks in them at me.
