We are sorry to hear about your daughter, Anne. From what we have read we also already know about Adrenal crisis and the medical dangers, and will write about that aspect too.

The main reason why we (and many others, as you point out) are extra interested in how gender identity is affected by CAH and AIS is that it might give us clues about how also OUR gender identity is form and affected by the society, environment, hormones and our self-perception. It is not because we "love the sexual issues of CAH", but rather because we are questioning the whole idea of gender roles. With more open gender views CAH girls would have less trouble in life. And probably everyone else too, us included. That is what makes us want to study this.
