Here are some more message boards for CAH for teenagers and adults with CAH (there are probably more on yahoo and msn)  These message boards have more  late-onset CAH  or non-clasical or acquired form of 21-Hydroxylase Deficiency members.  A more common form (and milder form) of CAH.  Anyway - more teenagers and adults with this type of CAH.  This type of CAH can be very mild and cryptic or hidden. Also it can change asymptomatic to symptomatic within a lifetime.  Very important with respect to potential damage to fertility by long term exposure to inappropriate elevated adrenal horomones. The salt wasting baby is usually treated right away or they will die.  So I would think that the hormones levels would be under control somewhat and there would be little difference in behavior which is more a socialized behavior than physcial anyway. Although some concerns with the females that had more surgery outcomes.  For that case - I pray for better technology than we had 20 years ago and parents that would find the best doctors and technology that we can find in the US.  Too bad that technology and good doctors are most often only found for the rich.

Also,  Dr. Maria New, Cornell University; and Dr Sheri Berenbaum, Professor of Psychology at Penn State University do research in CAH and gender idenification. CARES - a non-profit group has information about this in their newsletter found on http://www.caresfoundation.org/

I think it is great that you are doing something related to  CAH because so many of us on this board have children with salt wasting CAH. Let us know when it is on the air.  Can we get a tape of the show if we miss it?
