Andrea, I’m sure everything will be ok, but will be sure to keep Connor in my prayers.  My daughter also had her tonsils and adenoids out when she was 6 years old.  It was not a problem.  She just recently had knee surgery as well.  Just make sure they read all the dr. orders and start the meds in the IV before they go into the operating room.  I did that for Kristin’s recent surgery and was glad I did.  They had an emergency dose on hand - just in case - but had not started the hydrocortone in the IV drip.  At my insistence, they re-read her orders and got the drip started before surgery.  I’m sure you will also be stress dosing ahead of time and afterwards.  Good luck and let us know how he is feeling afterward (very sore throat, I am sure!)
