Thank you everyone for all the thoughts and prayers. I really appreciate the support.

Everything went alright with the surgery and he was doing so well until 4:30 am and he woke up vomiting and with a temp of 102.7. Thank goodness we had arranged ahead of time for him to go ahead and spend the night at the Ambulatory Surgery Center. They gave him extra IV cortisone. He went on to vomit 3-4 more times over the next 6-8- hours, and then it got very difficult to wake him up. (He was getting IV cortisone every 4 hours) They transferred him to the hospital and put him on a continuous steroid drip for an extra night. It made a big difference. They figured his body was using up the cortisone so fast  (and yes, it was the correct dose) that he was having alot of "peaks and valleys". Everyone metabolizes things differently. We got home yesterday and he is slowly getting back to his old self.

All the Doctors and Nurses were wonderful. It was the insurance company that I had to really push to get the overnight stay after a tonsillectomy. I am so glad that I did -- especially now. Don’t they just drive ya’ll crazy??

Thanks again--God bless you all.
