ValerieHi Kevin - Once in a great while we hear from a male adult with SW-CAH. Unfortunately, I think us Mom’s of boys, bombard them with so many questions, that we scare them away!!!!!!!! :) I have a lot of questions! Let me start here so that others may benefit from your answers.
1. How old were you when you were diagnosed and how did your CAH affect you as a yound boy, say elementary school age and under?
2. How about jr high or middle school age and high school age? Did you find that explaining CAH was benficial in any way ( to friends etc) or did you keep it rather private?
3. How did it affect you physically and do you feel it affected your energy levels?
4. How many crisis’ have you had and could you possibly explain to us how it feels and can you tell when they are coming on?
You can’t say I didn’t warn you!!! :) I hope I havent’ asked any questions that make you uncomfortable, if so, I am so sorry. I am just curious about the "boy" aspects versus the "girls" and look forward to reading your reply. Thank you in advance!
Valerie
PS -- I have a 10 year old SW-CAH son, that is why I am so interested in adult males with it. I think you can expect more questions from other mom’s of boy’s!!
