Deb LMy son’s single dose of florinef was given at night from the age of 8 weeks to 14 years old. His first dose when he was diagnosed was given at night, so I just stuck to that schedule. Even when we did switch, there was no particular reason for switching it except that his Endo prefered it to be given in the mornings.
I remember reading in the past on this board of parents who had alot of trouble with bedwetting when the florinef was given in the mornings.
Whenever we have to alternate the daily dose of either of my son’s medicines, we go by the date (such as: 1 tablet on odd dates & 2 tablets on even dates). This way the lower dose happens two days in a row only 7 times in a whole year. And we always know what dose is to be given each day. His Endo approved of our method, and my son has never had a problem because of doing it this way.
Good luck.
