Anne-MarieWe are all experts. Most parents who have switched their child to this regime are very knowledgeable about why they have switched their children over to it and capable fo explaining it. I would not say that anyone person here is the "expert" as such. perhaps they started something and hit on something and I for one praise them for that and for bringing it to my attention. We are ALL still learning though and therefore all equally have good sound knowlege of the regime and can put good input forth in any dosing regime we have tried in addition to this one. In a sense this is not too dissimilar to say a parent having a child on Lupron before anyone else. they still crave someone else to share their experiences with and want to compare side-effects or hiccups. It is only natural. That is what makes us ALL dependant on others to learn and advance in society. For example the bloke that invented the wheel did not put a patent on it thank goodness. Otherwise half the big companies selling cars would be on a loser for a start and so we would as the costs would be added to the value of a car.
Another example is that Telecom had patented the hyper links on the web. Yes thats right, they devised that and they have been to court to claim back millions of dollars. That means every if they win their case for every time you click on a link, you have to pay and whatsmore, we will owe them back pay. Can you imagine our bills???
What I am trying to say here is that sometimes we all hit on good ideas in life and if we pass them on then others can forumulate them and better them. It’s something we should do where our kids are concerned, because without doing that, we are holding back the technological advances that could take place where treatment and monitoring are concerned. Better treatment benefits us all.
I’m sure that Laura read the abstract that Brooke and Hindmarsh wrote and like any of us used her common sense and passed it on. In fact she went one better and tossed it around in email and it was by doing so that she gained confidence for her own dosing with her children. When others therefore took to the regime, I am quite sure that she was not only feeling relieved that others were seeing the benefits and agreeing that this dosing was ok, but also that she was no longer alone. Thank God she passed it on. I guess otherwise it may have taken a few months or years before another parent fell upon the
abstract and indeed if they did not use any of the message boards--none of us would have benefited at all anyway.I’d like to say here though, that in finding something, it does not mean that you alone are the only one expert with the theory of it. You can teach others as she has done and share your findings and advance faster with your knowledge than you ever would going it alone.
That is why I say--we are all expert. Experts in are own right.Good to hear Laura is travelling, and since she is not checking her lap top, it’s as well there are others using the regime.
Safe trip Laura! At times such as this at least there are parents to fill her shoes that are equally as knowleagable.
Cheers
