re: re: 3 am dose/schedule help (Is Laura K the "specialist" in this matter?)

Thanks to all who responded to my question! I didn’t mean to single Laura out as being the only "expert" on the board - it’s just that I saw her name the most in previous messages on this topic. I realize that all of you who have already switched to this dosing regime have educated yourselves very well. I just didn’t know who else had switched.

I printed off the research articles on the topic that were included in earlier posts and my husband and I will study them. I did take some articles, including the circadian rhythm charts, to our endo back in March, but he didn’t really want to look at anything I had printed off the web. Maybe if I e-mail him a letter with some more articles, he might be willing to take a closer look.

For those of you who are on a 3 dose/day schedule instead of 4 doses, is there any concern over illness if a child starts to become ill in the late evening when the 3pm dose is just about "worn off"? I’m so used to making sure Jake has his hydrocortisone every 8 hours that it would seem strange for him to go 11 hours between a 3pm dose and a 2 am dose. Any feedback would be great!

Thanks again! - Jill
