re: Laura K - would like help with "my" dosage too.

In the interim I will lay down what I feel is causing your weight gain.  As you know the 10mg evening dose is rather high.  Although Endo’s calculate the doses using body mass Adina, that is just a very crude calculation.  An guestimate if you will, and after such calculations, they should be looking at cutting back if you are having weight gain on the dose or any other side-effects of corticosteroids.

None of us are Doctors here.  We are just using a dosing regime and dose alterations should be done strictly with your Endo’s approval.  You could drop the dose down, but he really needs to know what your on and in any case, it is better he is playing a part in your dose alterations--as he/she is learning about controlling the condition also.

Any of us could guestimate a dose for you and advise you to take such.  However, if we did that and something happened I am sure we would feel awful.   know I would.  Although many of us using the dose regime CAN advise the reasons why we use such and choose to share that here, and can give "example" of what we would do for adults or children on such a dosing regime as opposed to the conventional dosing regime, I would certainly not pretend to know exactly "what" your body needs and when.   You need your Doctors input for that after arranging to change to the new regime and to have frequent blood tests to assess your needs.
