KayWow - I just got back from a week’s "vacation" (taking twelve 13-14 yr old girl scouts to Myrtle Beach) and saw all these posts.
No, I don’t have all the medical records concerning Kristin’s height, weight, bone age. Kristin was having trouble with rapidly advancing bone age when she was diagnosed with precocious puberty, secondary to the CAH. Steroids alone would not have slowed down the rapid advancement of her bone age. Lupron was added and she took it for 7-8 years to control the pubertal development AND the bone age.
I do believe that Kristin has every chance of reaching her potential genetic height - and she may have already. Remember, I am only slightly over 5’ and her dad just hits 5’8". Neither of us is tall :-) My whole family is short - I am taller than all my aunts and both grandmothers! Most cousins are anywhere from 5’ to 5’2" tall as adults.
Kristin is the one with all the bone fractures. Her bone density is great - 99% of what they say is perfect :-) Her fractures all appear to be bad luck - and the dr who did the density test said the way they all appear to have happened would probably have resulted in fractures for anyone. She is not taking any medication to alter bone density at all.
