AdinaHNo, our endo did not take the hairiness as a symptom. I did. He also did not take the huge weight gain or swollen face and ankles as symptoms of over suppression. It was not until his numbers on his blood draw were low that he would finally believe me that he was over suppressed.
As far as hairiness, you also need to take into account ethnicity. My son is part Hispanic from his father’s side of the family. That particular side of the family has a "large amount" of body hair. But this was a ridiculous amount. His back looked like a carpet, and his forehead looked like Eddie from "The Munsters". It may or may not be the same problem with your son. But something sounds amiss, and it could take months before it shows up on paper from the bloodwork. It’s good of you to detect a red flag there. I’d get it checked out either way if I were you because of the growth issue.
Blessings,
Adina
