Just got off the phone with our ped endo and he told me my 6 yo son has Heterozygotious (sp?) CAH.  I have never heard of this before.  He was dx by ACTH stimulation test but Ididn’t know what the doc was looking for.

My first question is, what is Heterozygotious?  Is it a specific kind of CAH or are all CAH that?  will all the info for CAH apply to my son or is his kind different.   We will be going back to the endo in a month or so.  He thinks that at this point it is mild but needs to be watched closely.  I originally took him to the endo because of maturing secondary sexual characteristics.  I hope to do some research into this so when I take him back to the endo I can discuss this more intelligently.
