When giving Cortef you will need to make sure you are giving it 3 times each day (about every eight hours) so that there is some in her system at all times.

My daughter (3 1/2) takes 2.5 mg at 6 am, 2.5 mg at 2 pm, and 5 mg at 10 pm. This is a total of 10 mg of Cortef each day. Though Olivia is about 32 pounds and 38 inches (96 cm).
