I was always told better safe than sorry.  If you give him an injection that he does not need it will not harm him.  But if you don’t and he needs it, he could go into adrenal crisis.  So I would give him the shot and take him to his hospital.  Hope that this helps.  My Nic is 14 and has never broke a bone...........   ***HUGS*** Brenda
