You can email me if you want. I have a one year old who was diagnosed through newborn screening in Texas. He type of CAH is Simple Virilizing. How was your son diagnosed. Also, Anne Marie has a point. Don’t think of this as a disease. Our kids have a enzyme blockage that requires a supplement. I don’t even call his cortef medicine. I call it cortef. Even his 4yr old and 7yr old brother ask me if I gave Jackson his cortef.  I think of it almost as a vitamin like Anne Marie said.

If you haven’t been dealing with CAH for too long, believe me, it does get easier. No one was more hysterical than me :).There are some older people who post on here but mostly female. We had a few males but they don’t post regularly. The few men that have posted seem to be very well adjusted men with normal lives. Some of course have some depression, but who doesn’t at one point or another.
