our son tested neg. on his first newborn screening test and then he was slightly elevated on his second test 35. our son does have cah he has nonclassic cah. if i were you i would see about having genetic testing done. the reason i say that is that the newborn screening test are designed to pick up salt wasting cah kids. but it misses the nonclassical kids a lot. there are several places that test for cah. but if i were you i would try to have the test done in new york at cornell with dr. new she is wonderful and the leading authority when it comes to cah. the reason i say that if it were me i would go on and have the genetic tesing is because, it is the only sure way to know. we were also told from our son’s peditrician that the test for cah never comes back positive after being negative. they just don’t know everything. our son is fine and he is on no medicine at this time. i don’t know about the meds that you were on if they would made it high, i don’t think so. another good person to talk with is the genetic counsler at cornell, ann carlson she is wonderful and very helpful. let me know if you need anymore info. www.caresfoundation.org has a link to cornell and the genetic testing.
best of luck,
