In June I had a cvs done and three days later we found out that we are a having a girl. I carry two Cah gene mutations so my chances of an effected child is 50% and my chances of having a child that is a carrier is 100%, therefore I have been taking the dex since about four weeks pregnant. This past Friday we found out that the baby does have CAH and I will have to continue taking the dex until the baby is born. The biggest and most bothersome side effect is excessive weight gain. Can anyone give me any advise or suggestions on how you controlled your weight while on the dex? Thanks.
