I guess once people get the hang of how it works, they will figure out that it is not accurate.  I was thinking more in terms of first getting the forums going and in use by those non-English speaking countries, and helping myself in the interim until enough people from those countries are using the board to help eachother.  I guess I’m launching into the unknown here, but I feel it is going to be worth the effort for some people.

I know in myself that I would have been glad of any support--even this sort--than be isolated and not able to communicate with anyone in my own language.  I would have made an effort to seek others and learned another language if necessary or put up with muddled up translations.  Anything but feel alone and unsupported.

I have a German friend who was pleased that the board had been provided.  He is helping to actually translate the home page to German.  Just need to find more people like that because I feel  would really like to make effort to provide these boards.  As I have the ability now to do these things there seems little reason to not provide them.  If it helps just one or two other person’s who do not speak English to merely understand the board format enough to know better how to post (even if it is in another language other than English) then that is something achieved.

I am willing to learn other languages to help other’s as I feel possibly they do not have the benefit that we have with these boards.  I could even segregate them all later on and make eachone separate, but for now I would like to make the whole thing one board and wait to see if any other non-english speaking countries use them more than english speaking folks.  I don’t think it is something that will happen over night, but once people realise there is something, I feel they will use it.

The hardest part is registering them in the search engines for me.  That and also the waiting before the other nationalities realise that such is available for use and come along and post.

Anne-Marie

PS.  If it were not for the Google language tools I don’t think I could have even tackled this project, so I guess in that sense it proved useful enought to set up the boards and even helped me  to edit the scripts in some cases.  Some were only half translated and needed some lines changing to there relevant language from English still.  I’ll have to make it clear to anyone using the translations to allow for possible problems but to use them as you say to get a rough idea what someone is posting about.
