I don’t think it is so much the med’s (hydrocortisone) themselves but rather times during the day where they are falling below acceptable levels that the cortisol should be--which would be the opposite--lack of med’s. I think that certain times of the day may be the most likely times to feel nauseous for these kids.  LOL---I’m thinking of  morning sickness again here also because this is often attributed to low cortisol levels--which when you think about it could be the case for our kids because they can at times be lacking cortisol after their full nights sleep or not having med’s since 10-11pm.  Maybe as the day progresses after their morning dose they are possibly less likely to feel nauseous.  Afternoon (early) is another possible area where cortisol levels may be lower than the norm also if the kids are not getting their meds until say 3pm onwards.  Ashley has often had nausea spells first thing in the morning and around lunch time.
