Our 6 year old SW son has had a horrible gag/vomiting reflex since he was 2 years old.  The Endo always insisted it had nothing to do with meds or CAH.  He has NEVER been able to look at food before 10 am.  He has had upper GI’s, lower GI’s, etc., etc.  NO PROBLEMS found.  His OH-17 levels have always been under fairly good control (except during liquid Cortef crisis.)

In April, we started seeing a new Endo.  She thought the Renin levels were a bit too high so she had us give half Cortef in the morning, half at night.  Within one week, he, for the first time in his life, he WAKES UP HUNGRY.  NO GAGGING.  Over the last several months there has not been one gagging episode.  Renin is perfect.  We can tell he feels SO GREAT.  I wish Docs would listen to the dumb parents once in a while!
