My wife’s sister-in-law is a school nurse. She has several schools she makes rounds of. She’s is amazed that schools will not provide a full time nurse for each school, but then while school nurses are required to join the NEA in many states (including this one) they are poorly represented by them since the money used to hire a full time nurse would be money not used to increase teacher salaries, or hire another teacher. At the school I used to sub in they had at least a dozen coaches for just the highschool, but one nurse for the highschool, middle school and two elementary schools.
