We have the same problems. I do stay at home and we are about 5 minutes from the school but what happens if I have to leave for some reason and then something happens?

I copied letters from the "Cares Foundation" site and will have copies for each teacher and the office. Field trips are what scare me the most. I figure that I will have to be one of the parents who goes along just in case. It’s only two times a year so it shouldn’t be too big of a problem.

We have a friend who teaches at the school who said we can put her on our medical form as a contact and if she has to she will punch out and take him to her car and give him the shot. There is nobody at the school who will take on the responsability of doing that if he gets sick and we are not close.

It’s so sad. I am sure if they had a child with asthma they wouldn’t think twice about giving him his inhaler or what about the child who could die from a bee sting? They really don’t know how serious this can be. That is the worst part.
