Hi my name is Anthony Arteaga and I am 26 years old.  I was diagnosed with CAH near birth when I went into a seizure and almost died.  I think it my CAH has to do something with salt ingestion.  I am extremely puzzled because my endocrinologist always said if I were to quit talking my meds I would die.  I really don’t know if this was a true statement or not.  However, I stopped taking Prednisone and Florinef about 8 years ago, which I had been taken since I was an infant.  Another medical doctor (not an endocrinologist) told me it was okay to stop taking them.  When I stopped taking Prednisone and Florinef I felt better.  All my childhood life I always felt sluggish and slow.  But after I quit taking the meds I felt stronger and faster than I ever did.  I was wondering if anyone knows why I don’t need Prednisone and Florinef anymore.  I figured if something would’ve happened it would have happened years ago.  If anyone knows please answer me by leaving your messege on this site and not my e-mail address!

P.S.   THIS HAPPENED TO ME... I STRONGLY ADVISE YOU TO ALWAYS TAKE YOUR MEDICATION.  WHO KNOWS WHAT KIND OF ADVERSE AFFECT IT HAS TAKEN ON ME!!! AS ANYONE CAN SEE I DO NOT REALLY KNOW TOO MUCH ABOUT MY CONDITION, I WAS A KID (17 or 18) WHEN I QUIT TAKING MY MEDS, I DID NOT KNOW ANY BETTER.
