Anne-MarieI was just wondering if anyone has ever had these bracelets on in an emergency and whether medics actually do worked immediately with what was written on them without checking what the Doctor had to say first? The reason I purchased an official medic alert pendant was because it is internationally recognized, and any Medica will act when seeing such whereas would a medic or Doctor really act from something written on a piece of paper sby a parent and slipped in one of these bracelets without ringing around for the Doctor to check if it is ok first?
I know that you can place your Doctors number on the paper, but what if your Doctor is not available in that emergency? At least with Medic Alert, providing you have your childs records updated everytime hings change where doses are concerned, they will give ALL information about what the child needs without the Doctors input over the phone and they are available 24 hours--unlike some Doctors who may vacation or not be on call at certain times.
Just my two cents worth
