they need to do a blood test

11-deoxycortisol for 11-beta CAH

17-OH Pregnenoione for 3-beta

17-OH Progesterone for classical and nonclassical 21-hydroxylase - salt wasting and non-salt wasting

Again there are many types of CAH:

21-hydroxylase - the most common

11-beta hydroxylase

3-beta hydroxysteroid dehydrogenase

17-hydroxylase

20-hydroxylase

20 hydroxylase

18-hydroxysteriod dehydrogenase

other type of CAH include cholesterol desmolase deficiency (lipoid hyperplasia) and corticorsterone methyloxidase type II

Maybe you had something other than the 21-hydroxylase the most common and the kind that most the people on this board are familiar with... the doctors confused the treatment...

And if you had a type that needed need florinef (you were not a salt waster and had blood pressure) the treatment could have made you feel sick... too high blood pressure...

Again - how is your blood pressure? What is your sodium levels looking like?
