re: routine imaging

Following a recent report of a a massive adrenocortical adenoma diagnosed in a patient with long standing 21-hydroxylase deficiency,  it has been suggested by a Japanese cohort that "routine  followup imaging be performed every 2-3 years in the long-term management of 21-hydroxylase deficiency in adults".

With the advanced state of diagnostic imaging techniques, at least in the developed world, it would seem to be prudent to extend to children/adults at risk of developing adrenal rest tissue and adenomas etc, this form of monitoring.
