to Tonya

Hi Tonya,

Thank you for the response. My son has 17-alpha-hydroxylase. He has always been very healthy, no adrenal crisis. He was doing well on the liquid cortef until it was defective and recalled. Since then we have had a difficult time on the cortef tablets. He really swings toward oversuppression.

He has had three endos. I really like his current doctor. I like that he treats adults as well as kids because I think it gives him another perspective. Jack has only been seeing him for about 9 months. Initially, his dr. was quite concerned because Jack was on about 5mg/m2/day. He has wanted to increase his dose each time we have an appointment. I think Jack is clearly oversuppressed now so I want to come into his Monday appt armed with as much information as possible to persuade him to lower the dose. (Last visit I focused on weight gain and that was not persuasive enough).

How old is your son? How long has he been off hydrocortisone?

Thank you again, Chris
