I do hope you are taking your meds. But even taking dexamethasone and having great blood levels did not help Amanda get rid of facial and body hair. She did have laser hair removal on her face (sideburns and chin). It works well if you are fair-skinned and have dark hair. It was fairly expensive. For the rest of her hair, she takes spironolactone. It’s a water pill that also blocks testosterone. It took a while to work, but has done wonders. She has to be careful to stay well hydrated, especially in hot weather, but she has late onset CAH and doesn’t lose salt. I’ve also heard that there is a birth control pill that has spironolactone in it. I think its called Diana.
