I had a little chuckling at your aversion to bloodwork.  Have you had electrolysis?  When I was reading about this it sounded so painful---someone described it as making your eyes water when done on the upper lip!  That’s why I had also looked around to see if it was ok to use emla.

I’d rather have a blood draw anyday!  It’s over quicker.  I can understand you problem with it though, but I think if it came to choosing one of the above, I think I would rather have bloods taken every six months or so than all that electroylsis to cure the problem not treating your CAH can cause.

I did try using facial hair remover cream on my upper lip and it burned and made the skin above my upper lip very dry and sore for a week.  Never again.  The wax although painful was over with in a few seconds and after the initial redness wore off and was fine.  I waxed one strip of my legs once and it was just too much.  I had a hairless patch on one leg for about 6 weeks :)

I’m hoping that what Sandra says about it getting finer is true, but if it doesn’t it will be electrolysis, because I hate it.  I had heard the same about laser’s also.  Can scar and alter the skin color too.
