Welcome and congradulations on the birth of your son. Well, you aren’t alone. It’s scary at first, but we’ve all been through it before, and we’re here to help in any way we can. My second son, Jonathan, was diagnosed with CAH not long after he was born. He’d already been taken to the new born intensive care unit for a serious infection, the day after he’d been born. We didn’t know anything about CAH and at that time there wasn’t a whole lot on the internet. We learned as we went and everything has turned out just fine. He hasn’t been sick at all in quite awhile, and unless someone told you you’d never know he had anythign wrong. Our third son doesn’t have CAH, but out fourth child, Ginny does. She was diagnosed in utero, so my wife took medicine to counteract the effects. They both are happy and healthy (and as ornery as ever).
