re: Florinef

When i wrote this email. My child was in a crisis. We rushed her to the hospital. Her medication was only the hydrocortisone and sodium chloride(in bottle tablet form).

The problem was we ran out of those Sodium chloride(tablets) for a month prior to her crisis. We’ve been looking for (sodium chloride tabs) everywhere but none was available. Our physician advises us to add more salt to her foods but don’t know the exact amount. She only prescribed the Florinef and Cortef a month ago. We requested it from relatives in the US and it arrived a month later 2 days after she had adrenal crisis. We get (only the Florinef) and no cortef yet. But we still have a few hydrocortisone available. Our supply now is good only for 1 month.

My question is: If she takes the florinef, will i still salt her foods? to what extent?

and is the Cortef a replacement of the hydrocortisone. Are these medicines all i need right now?

Thank you all for your time and effort.
