Anne-MarieIf she is getting Florinef, you just salt her foods as normal--via your cooking etc. The Florinef will do the work of helping her to retain whatever sodium there is in her normal food. If she is still on baby foods or commercial toddler foods and not quite weaned to your food or not eating much of what you eat, these don’t have much sodium added unfortunately. You may have to continue giving Sodium Chloride with those.
I was unsure as to whether she had Florinef at one point above. Don’t they stock that at the Hospital Pharmacy where your child is seen? It just seems a little odd to be waiting for Florinef like that if your child is so dependant on it. It just should not happen really. Hope that you get those issues sorted out. If it’s your local pharmacy, I’d get a letter from your child’s Endo to give to the pharmacy explaining that they need to make sure they have stocks in at all times.
