If it’s the ame Dr Kaplan in SD that my duaghter saw, he isa urologist and performs surgery. (Even though we chose not to have surgery done untill medically necessary pre puberty.) There are some other endos at children’s but I think that you would need to see an endo for adults now. Good luck with this. I would check the phone book and then go on line to see their credentials. I really don’t think that you would be a guinea pig as there has been treatment for CAH for a long time and it has gotten better. But to assure that you won’t feel that way I suggest doing lots of research and this board is a great start. CHeck out all the medical sites too. Write down questions to take to the doctor. Now about payment. I know that you could sign up for medical and get medical coverage. I also have heard that you can get benefits once you’ve been approved as "disabled" due to CAH. I’m not sure who to contact maybe others can help you. I hope that you get back to a doctor and start feeling better! Julia
