The 17-OHP was probably elevated or high..... please get the genetic DNA blood testing done to confirm the diagnosis.   Ask that the send to blood to Dr. Maria New at Cornell University in New York City.  It takes about 2 weeks for the results.

Also have them do a blood test called - Plasma Renin; and Chem 8 (salts, sugar, potassium); and along with the hormonal blood check - 17-OHP, testosterone, DHEA, Androstenedione.

The levels need to be check at least every 3 months. More often if the medications need to be adjusted because growth and hormone levels.

The bone-growth x-ray - is done annually.  The x-ray the wrist.. and then then they tell you if the child growth is too way off for the age.  Say the child is 7 years old but has the bone-growth of an eleven year old, then that would not be good.

Check with Christine on the Canadian Web page.... about doctors and such in your area.
