MicheleMy daughter, now 11, had mono when she was 9 and had a pretty serious case. She has SWCAH. She was not well from late spring thru the entire summer. Although she was being stress dosed, it was at the time of the liquid hydro fiasco so in reality she wasn’t getting enough. I’m sure this prolonged her recovery. When I say "not well" I mean very tired all the time, no energy, no endurance, unable to participate in any sports (her passion), and ultimately fed up. She slept a lot. Thank God we switched her to the pills, and she did much better by the time school started that fall. It was very managable as long as she did very little (as compared to the nightmare with stomach illnesses). No hospitalization.
Good luck.
