re: Solu-cortef

I know that you will all throw your hands up in the air, but i noticed that my daughters solu cortef had expired last month. The perscription took three days to be written up ( UK NHS ) i explained that i had not needed to use it for three years but that it was for emergency purposes and the receptionist had the attitude that as i hadn’t used it in such a long time that there was no rush for it, even though i explained about adrenal crisis, i think that she probably thought that i was making a drama over it.

If the solu cortef is expired does it lose it’s effectiveness or has it grown bacteria by then?

If not in a crisis i would use the expired solu cortef, even a little would be better than none.

Any thoughts on this?
