Finding a new endo sounds like a great idea. My daughter’s first endo never told us about the solu cortef or bracelet either. (I too, learned of their importance from the internet and this message board!) We found the most wonderful endo even closer to us, The very first things she asked is if we had the solu cortef and knew how to use it and when to use it and a bracelet!! These should be priorities! (now we travel only 2 1/2 hours instead of 7!) Write down your questions it’s so easy to forget something really important once you are there. Your sons levels should be checked every 3 months. Do you have the Elamax numbing cream for the blood draws? It makes it sooo much easier, my daughter doesn’t even feel it. Your son is so lucky to have such a concerned mom. WE have to be our children’s advocates. No doctor should belittle you or make you feel uncomfortable. Good luck with your search for a new doctor. Great ones are out there! Go with you gut feelings!
