ValerieDWhen I questioned my son’s endo in regards to expired Slu-cortef, she laughed and said "Trust me, ignore the expiration date - it will be good for about 6 months after!". I was very skeptical, so when I spoke with the manufacturer of Solu-Cortef (Upjohn - if they can be trusted!) , I asked them and they agreed with her - as long as it hadn’t been subjected to any extreme temperatures. I certainly wouldn’t rely on expired meds, but if need be, I’d certainly use it. I was assured it couldn’t hurt him (other than not actually working!). If unopened, it shouldn’t harbor any kind of bacteria. If it were my only hope, I’d feel comfortable giving it a try.
