In the UK suspension is considered an unstable preparation and my own son was given the powder cortef (which is just crushed tablets, with the dosage measured by the pharmacist) for the first year of life (due to his dosage - 2 - 2 - 2 mg). We had to obtain this from the hospital though as the local chemists refused to supply it - due to the time and care needed to ensure accurate measurement. We had no problem with it and found it easy, and you don’t have to worry about a shelf life! Don’t forget to take a letter from your doctor though as going through customs, these little packets of powder look suspiciously like illegal drugs!Sue E
