Go to this web site and print off the pages on how to give the Solu-cortef injection and put in your solu-cortef injection kit.

No, you do not want to scare the school but you do not want to take chances with your child.  If something happened and you did not tell them how to give the injection - them this is not something you can go back and fix.

Field trips, bus trips, - they must always have the solu-cortef kit with them.  It must be at the school at all time also.  Why chance it???? What if??

Adrenal crisis is a medical emergency!!

The hospital or the ambulance will not have solucortef right at their hands - you must have it at the school.  The teachers need to know to give the injection kit to the ambulance drivers!! Your child does not produce enough cortisol and can die if ill with fever, vomiting or serious injury.

This is what you need to tell the school.   Always have the medical alert ID on the child also.  Go to my post below about the sports medical ID  - it is wonderful because you can write the information on the water-proof paper it was less than $10.00.  Also I brought a medical alert ID at SEARS engaving place (gold one with paper insert) - it was only $12.  Check out the web site:
