Salt lovers

Our 9 yo grandson was diagnosed with swcah at birth.  He has done fine under the care of a local endo here in Richmond, Va. and his annual visit to Dr.New in N.Y.  I accompanied my daughter and my grandson to N.Y. in April.  Dr. New was surprised that Jess does not drink pickle juice, put salt on his food or crave salty snack foods.  He has never seemed to care one way or the other for salt.  He was on sodium tablets daily until his April visit with Dr. New and she decided to take him off the daily supplements, saying he would adjust his salt intake himself as he felt he needed it.  He has a terrible appetite, cares nothing about food, and we’re wondering if he’ll even realize he needs salt.  He has always been an excessive salt waster.  We’ll definitely keep a close eye on his usage of salt, but we were wondering if there were any other parents or grandparents of swcah children that do not seem to crave or even like salt?
