Jess has been going to the dentist since he was 3 yo. He’s 9 now. Believe it or not, between his dental appointments this year he developed a cavity in one of his upper molars, which was beyond the point of filling it and he had to have a root canal. Can you believe it??? 9 years old and having a root canal. To make a long story short, my daughter took him twice in the last 2 weeks to have the procedure done and he freaked every time the drill came toward him, even after being sedated somewhat with gas. To no avail, the dentist referred them to a pediatric specialist and he is scheduled to have the procedure done in a couple of weeks and the dentist will be him to sleep. We’re apprehensive about him being put to sleep, but the dentist is in contact with his endo so I pray he’ll do ok. My daughter double dosed him the morning and night of each of his previous appointments with cortef per his endo’s recommendation, so I’m sure he will instruct her accoringly for the next dental visit. Thanks for asking about him.Nannie
