Hi Nannie - My son is10 y/o and a salt-waster. We NEVER gave him any additional salt as an infant ( as so many here do) or as a toddler and he has NEVER craved salt until about 6 mos ago. It lasted about 2 months and then disappeared. He is back to his "normal" self and doesn’t seem to care for salt one way or another. Hope this helps!
