School Bus
Sep. 5th, 2002   12:56pm

Today was Brayden’s first day in Kindergarten. ( so exciting ) While I was waiting for the bus to drop him off at the end of his day two police cars and four or five emergency vehicles drove by with lights and sirens. His bus was later than I expected it to be. Those sirens went in the direction that his bus would be coming from. I was getting WORRIED.  His bus finally came and he was on it. Relief! So the question is......

What protection does he have while on the bus to and from school?

I think the answer is NONE.

There are no seat belts on the buses.

I cant have him carry the shot kit. That would be a dangerous if some other kid got into it.

I can’t expect the bus driver to be able to give a shot in an emergency. Drivers change.

What, if anything, have others done?
