SueGHi everyone,
My daughter is almost 9 months old and has SWCAH. Until now, I would always double the dose just before her immunisation is due, whether morning or afternoon and then depending on whether or not she gets fever I continue to double her dose.
She is due for her MMR,Varicella and Prevnar this month and I’ve been wondering if it’s a good idea to give her all three at the same time. Also the first two being live viruses, IF I double her dose then would it not suppress her immune response meaning, will not the purpose of the vaccine be lost ? And if I don’t then will her body be able to bear the stress of dealing with the virus, without the extra meds.
Isn’t this like a "damned if you do and damned if you don’t situation " ?
Any suggestions ?
Thanks,
SueG
