Hello Sue!

We give Savannah a dose of infant Advil and hour before the shot.  She gets them all at once.  In Arizona though they wait until 12 months for the varicella (chicken pox vaccine).  I guess it’s different by state.  We don’t stress dose her until the fever actually starts climbing above 101.  That only happened once for her and it was the MMR.  I’ve heard that only happens with some children though, and most don’t have any reaction.  I say "go with your gut".  You’ve got good instinct.
